With so many iconic buildings and monuments, Sydney is extremely iconic and very easy to spot when flicking through travel magazines. Whether it’s the gorgeous beaches, the Sydney Opera House, or indeed the Harbour Bridge, it’s extremely recognizable. The only time it looks even more stunning is at sunset. During our time in Sydney, Australia, we were pretty lucky to enjoy some incredible Sydney sunsets.
Manly, Sydney
I told you I had a feeling we’d return to beautiful Manly again, and we certainly did. We couldn’t resist! We headed back for some time at the beach for a little R&R after running around the city. (And OK, maybe for another tasty steak too). The views from Manly Ferry never grow old.
Can you blame us for coming back when the beach is this glorious? I just love how clear the water is. After an afternoon of sunbathing, we popped back to the Manly Grill whilst watching others go about their day on the bustling street.
Sydney Sunsets
The day soon starting coming to an end whilst we watched the sun twinkling on the beach. Everything about Sydney is extremely photogenic.
As the temperature started to cool, we decided to head back to Sydney. We boarded the Manly Ferry once again, and watched the irresistible views whilst setting off.
It’s amazing watching the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House peek back into sight while the sky looks like it’s on fire.
I definitely recommend spending the day in Manly and timing it just right so that you can gaze at the sunset for half an hour on the way back. It’s unreal that some lucky commuters get to see this every day!
I love this neon sign which reads ‘you imagine what you desire’. Very appropriate against the beautiful sunset we witnessed come back to Sydney from Manly.
Sydney simply gets better every day we’ve spent here. We stayed in Circular Quay for a while to watch the sun sink and the evening to appear. Then, it was time to head back home through the Botanical Gardens, feeling very content indeed.
What do you love about Sydney? Where are the best Sydney sunsets you’ve seen?
