The Best Bars in Cheltenham 🥂

There’s no bar more beautiful than @ivycheltenham’s homage to our iconic racing town, thanks to the gorgeous Art Deco bar in the grade I listed Montpellier Rotunda with marble floors and leather details throughout. Where better to toast to a successful day at the Races?

Here are a few other faves for some celebratory bevs:

🍹 @ginandjuice_official - visit for a gin menu that could be mistaken for a bible and the most beautifully aesthetic G&Ts

🦚 @imperialhaus - one of Cheltenham’s most Insta-friendly bars, with cute cocktails, neon, and decor throughout

🌶 @thebottleofsauce - a fun boozer in the heart of town serving great drinks, cocktails, and delicious pub grub to soak it all up. Don’t miss their spicy margs!

🍷 @montpellierwinebar - keep it civilised with their generous wine menu or glass of fizz in this Cheltenham treasure, located in the classy Montpellier district

🍸 @johngordons - with a beautiful outdoor arcade, a library of gins and spirits and knowledgeable staff, you really can’t go wrong

🍹@thedaffodilcheltenham - set in a former 1920s cinema, you can’t beat the beautiful decor of The Daffodil. Enjoy cocktails with views of a gorgeous building

Heading to Cornwall this weekend for a much needed break! I’ve been packing and moving this week around a very hectic work schedule so I’m super excited for a little R&R before a very exciting adventure that starts next week. Stay tuned as I’m currently packing my life into a suitcase for a little while…

This time I’m going to a completely new part of Cornwall as part of a dreamy partnership. It’s not too far from Falmouth and Truro, right on the coast. Have you been to either? I’d LOVE to hear your recommendations, so please let me know in the comments if you have any good recos to share. I’m most excited about Cornish food, good coffee, wine, and long walks on pretty beaches. ✨

The best beaches near Cheltenham 🌊

I spent yesterday by the sea - you really can’t beat sunny walks on the beach, can you? Even if it was only in the UK! Although we aren’t blessed with being near the coast in the Cotswolds, luckily there are several beaches within a 90 minute drive. Here’s my pick of the best:

🌊 Clevedon Beach, Somerset - walk the pier along the Bristol Channel and spot sea glass. Stop by @thesalthouseclevedon for a drink and a bite to eat

🏄🏻‍♀️ Rest Bay Beach, Porthcawl - a popular surfing spot in South Wales, you can have lessons at @porthcawlsurfschool. It’s a long sandy Blue Flag beach, perfect for long walks

🏊🏻‍♀️ Ogmore Beach, Glamorgan - both a sandy and a pebble beach, Ogmore is great for long walks with pretty views at sunset. It’s a clean beach and visitors come to surf, swim, and fish here

🦮 Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset - just minutes off the M5, Burnham-on-Sea is an award-winning stretch of sand that’s ideal for long dog walks. In the summer, kids can enjoy donkey rides and an amusement arcade

🎡 Weston-super-Mare, Somerset - one of the most popular beaches near Cheltenham, Weston is a seaside town with a pier, a stretch of sandy beach, and plenty of stops for fish and chips by the sea

The most adorable dessert in London 🍄

Let’s take a minute for Harry’s Toadstool - a must-order dessert at @harryldn. It’s a combo of white chocolate, fresh raspberries, mascarpone mousse, iced vanilla parfait, and pistachio biscotti crunch with a drizzle of warm pistachio sauce.

Would you order one or is it just too flipping cute to eat?

One of the cutest corners of the Cotswolds - the Chipping Steps in Tetbury.

The Chipping Steps are a medieval set of steep cobbled steps that used to be an old entrance to the charming little town of Tetbury. They’re joined by an adorable row of old weavers’ cottages. Nowadays, they’re one of the most photographed spots in the Cotswolds. Although I’d love to live in one of the cute cottages, I’m not sure I’d fancy all the steps every day - would you?

Spending my Sunday inside sheltering from the stormy weather which doesn’t appear to be going away any time soon! Sometimes it’s nice to have a lazy day though isn’t it!? 🌊

Instead of being out and about, I’m spending the day planning my upcoming trip to Cornwall instead. Heading to a part of the county I’ve not been to before as part of an exciting press trip in a few weeks. Where are your favourite spots in Cornwall?
