Arriving in Canada

It’s been pretty full on and crazy since I’ve arrived in Canada.

So I thought I’d share some pictures with you from my first few days in ‘Van City’, as it’s affectionately known.

It would have been plain wrong to start without a little sushi…

And thanks to the large Asian influence here, it is just so darn good and pretty much everywhere!

Pretty much every day has presented me with a beautiful sunset!

On Sunday, it was my Dad’s birthday. It was a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky – not bad for this time of year! So we set out for none other than Vancouver’s beautiful Stanley Park.

We did a bit of yacht shopping. I quite fancy this one, what do you think?

Then it was time for birthday cake, of course…

Before another beautiful sunset over New Westminster…

I really don’t think I’ll ever get bored of a Vancouver sunset!

It’s so amazing to see mountains, skyscrapers, and a scattering of trees all in one place.

Watch this space for many more…

I’m Laura, a roaming blonde who recently made the leap from my home in the Cotswolds, UK to be based across the pond in Vancouver, BC for a brand new job and plenty of adventures.
