Summer in Bibury, Cotswolds

I’m lucky enough to live and work in the beautiful Cotswolds in the south of England. With countryside views and quaint villages with cosy little pubs a frequent sight for me, I want to make sure I don’t take it for granted. That’s why this summer I met my friend Matt for dinner after work in Bibury, one of the most photographed spots of the Cotswolds.

And I’ll show you why. Despite being a lovely summer’s evening, no matter where you look in this little village, the water twinkles and flowers bloom.

This beautiful little inn is called The Swan, which is where we headed after a wander round. Can you imagine being part of the family that once lived here!?

Arlington Row is the most famous street of the village, and you may well recognise this row of houses from Instagram, Pinterest, or travel bucket lists from all over the world.

How adorable are these houses? They’re mainly holiday cottages owned by the National Trust now, but I imagine they’re just as charming on the inside as they are outside.

We walked back to The Swan for lattes, warming up from the outdoor patio heaters whilst watching a wedding party toasting the newlyweds with bottles of champagne. Bliss.

I now have a newfound love for life in the Cotswolds. It certainly made me think about making the most of where I live and taking time out to enjoy the outdoors. What do you love about where you live?
